The Grand Canyon must be seen in person
to truly grasp its majesty.

From the “Old West” to California Dreaming

There is a reason why the Grand Canyon is one of the original Seven Wonders of the World.
It is breathtakingly awesome.

While in the neighborhood, meander through the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. See how the original inhabitants of this country live.

For our overseas travelers, you may want to combine a Grand Canyon vacation with a visit to San Francisco and California’s wine country. Come and see what all the excitement is about.

These trips highlight the very best of the West.

We know these areas well.

Vacation with us, and in addition to seeing the “must-see’s,” you will see some of our personal favorite places, and perhaps meet a few of our favorite people.

Climate – Arizona

Due to its large area and variations in elevation, the state has a wide variety of climate conditions. In the lower elevations, the climate is primarily desert, with mild winters and extremely hot summers.
Grand Canyon: Conditions are generally dry, but substantial rain occurs twice a year. The forested rims are high enough to receive winter snowfall, but along the Colorado River in the Inner Gorge, temperatures are similar to low elevation desert locations.

Climate – California

Much of the state has a Mediterranean climate, with cool, rainy winters and dry summers. The cool California Current offshore often creates summer fog near the coast.
